Constructed by Polimeks, The “Memorial Park” opened in Ashgabat.
The “Memorial Park” that will display the monuments that reveal the cultural values and symbolize significant events in the historical Turkmenistan was opened on 6 October 2014. The park was constructed Polimeks, one of the largest contracting companies of Turkey that operates abroad. The Memorial Park came into use in the capital city of Ashgabat after the opening ceremony with the attendance of Turkmenistan's President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedow. The park can be visited by 3,000 people simultaneously, offering a time travel in history. The Memorial Park is situated on a land of 9,000 square meters and houses a remarkable museum that evokes the Göktepe Battle with its 3 dimensional relief, sitting on a crescent shaped floor.Next News
Inspired by the Turkmen flag
The Memorial Park has been conceptually inspired by the Turkmen flag, and the patterns on the museum road evokes the symbols of the provinces on the flag. The monuments are situated on the platform that has the shape of the Turkmen Star and the platform is encircled with the museum building.
The “Bull Statue” commemorating the earthquake of 1948, the “Enemehri Monument” symbolizing the World War II, and the “Eternal Flame” that is going to be built as a memorial to those who died in this war takes place on this platform.
The park also includes a 750-capacity parking lot and a helipad
The Alms Section that is located behind the museum building has an area of 5,500 square meters and is designed to serve 3,000 people. The project also includes a landscaped area along with the monuments and the museum building. The green areas, walking tracks and fountains will offer visitors a joyful day. Furthermore, the park has a parking lot with a capacity of 750 vehicles and a helicopter landing pad.
