YAP Istanbul Modern: “Young Architects Program” is held biannually during the summer, which will be held in 2015 for the second time, and offers young emerging architects the opportunity to design a temporary installation in Istanbul Modern’s courtyard.

Five finalists were selected by the selection committee in January 2015 and the selected project will be installed in Istanbul Modern's courtyard in June. An exhibition hosting all the finalists' project in the 2014-2015 program will be on display in the Temporary Exhibition Hall at the Istanbul Modern and at the other four architecture and arts institutions that are program partners.

The program promotes the creation of innovative projects
YAP: “Young Architects Program” offers young designers and architects the opportunity to develop a temporary space which serves as a site for recreation, entertainment and relaxation that can also host activities such as performances, music, dance, and exhibitions. Architects are encouraged to address environmental issues such as sustainability, re-use, and re-cycling, and to create innovative designs providing elements of shade, water, and seating, increasing the quality of public spaces. The temporary site-specific installation that will be installed in Istanbul Modern's courtyard will be used by museum visitors of all ages during the summer of 2015 and will also serve as a venue for the activities that the museum will organize intended for young people
