The 10th Year Monument has turned to a symbol of the rise of Turkmenistan referring to each year of independence with one of the most precious values of the country. In contrast to the usual stability of the national monuments, it adds color and dynamism to its surround reflecting the dynamic aspect of the country.
This monumental park which was constructed at one of the most vibrant districts of the city to mark the 10th anniversary of Turkmenistan's independence sits on an area of 105,000 square meters.
The monument, located at the center of the park area, is reached by steps symbolizing the rise of Turkmenistan. The modern monument that stands on top of a fountain pool designed in the shape of an eight-point Turkmen star is composed of 10 Akhal Teke horses – among the most precious values of Turkmenistan – each symbolizing one year of independence.
Water shows in the central pool built on an area of 5,850 square meters please the visitors bringing dynamism to the environment. Besides, there are also fountain pools on all four sides of the park area.
