Awaza Man-Made Canal Project

The project for creation of a man-made channel was implemented as one of the factors that add lasting value to Awaza National Touristic Region. It brings a wonderful impression on its area which is in full harmony with the texture of the elegant settlement of Awaza region.

This project in the Awaza National Touristic Region, an area that is developing rapidly as a tourist destination, included the construction of a 7-kilometer man-made canal, 30-60 meters in width, as well as walkways, parks, recreation areas and restaurants and cafes along the banks of the canal.

Small boats can sail along the canal and boat races are organized; the canal also has six lakes measuring between 1 to 3 hectares. The project also includes the construction of seven road bridges and two pedestrian bridges as well as various docks and beaches.
