Turkmenbashi Desalination Plant II
Turkmenbashi – 2016
This water treatment plant will be built on the east coast of the Caspian Sea, with the aim of supplying drinking and utility water, with a production capacity of 50,000 m3 per day fresh water, using reverse osmosis technology. The plant will have two intake water tanks each with a capacity of 5,000 m3, and 4 fresh water tanks each with a capacity of 10,000 m3. The project also includes the installation of a 91,100 meter pipeline that will supply drinking water to “Guwlymayak-Kyyanly” and “Turkmenbashi Airport” regions. The plant will be built on a total area of 73,500 square meters and the construction is projected to be completed in 2016.
