Ashgabat Water Treatment Facility

The Ashgabat Water Treatment Facility was built as an addition to existing treatment facilities in order to meet the needs of the city in terms of drinking water, by treating the water of Garakum Canal.

The facility, which has a daily capacity of 250,000 m3, includes a cascade ventilation system, flocculation and clarifier building, K-type filters, a clean-water reservoir and pumping station, chemical dosing and storage building, sodium hypochlorite production building and disinfection facility, a power distribution unit and generator building as well as service units. Two clean-water reservoir tanks with a total capacity of 10,000 m3, a pumping station in the Gundoghar Region and a 10-kilometer GRP pipeline with a radius of 140 cm have also been installed as part of the project.
